We are so excited to announce that we are partnering with Paul Laberge and Let’s Walk the Talk! Paul and Mallory are going to be walking over 500kms from Regina to Lloydminster over August 28th to September 10th for mental health and suicide awareness. The money raised from the campaign will go towards creating new positions for Mental Health Community Outreach Workers and Mental Health Community Educators for Lloydminster and surrounding communities, and towards our long-term goal of increasing the number of beds at our facility. The Community Outreach worker position will provide support services and accompaniment when required through referring and connecting individuals onto appropriate health and wellness services. By providing this community resource, it aims to reduce the number of avoidable mental health visits to the hospital and reduce the number of suicides and attempted suicides. Donate below!
Important Campaign Updates:
We have made some changes to our upcoming Let’s Walk the Talk Campaign.
Date & Starting Location: The walk will now be starting on World Suicide Prevention Day on Friday, September 10th in Saskatoon and end on Lloydminster on Wednesday, September 15th
Our partner Paul Laberge has had some exciting and positive things happen in his life recently, so unfortunately, he is unable to join us, but will be cheering us on wholeheartedly. Paul will still be a part of the planning and the fundraising efforts as much as his time allows. We are so happy for Paul and his new ventures and look forward to carrying out this fundraiser as planned but with a few minor changes.
Stay tuned for information on our finale event in Lloydminster on September 15th
You can come see us this week (July 14th-19th ) at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds at our information booth that includes Mental Health Jeopardy and prizes!
